Please introduce yourself, your professional career and your company.

 I am Junior Sanchez-LION, a family man, networker, entrepreneur, and CEO of RIFT SUCCESS.  From the time I was a boy business was my passion, everything from the lemonade stand I had in front of our house to my quite lucrative candy selling business in school.  Business and helping others get what they wanted was all I could think about, it was as though I had a passion for it. This unyielding passion drove me to not just want to advocate change in the world, but to become change in the world one day.  College led me to Business Management, with particular attention to the Recruiting/Human Resources and Sales Industries.  The jobs I held proved to be a time well spent, for I learned the value one individual can have in an organization. This reason made me mandate myself to be the best at anything I did and still do (I solidly stand by my product, for my product, is me). Work was not enough for me though, as I never gave up on wanting to become the change.  I began networking tirelessly and soon met some of the most brilliant minds in business today.  Through conversations I realized that many of us faced one common problem, employment, and lack thereof.  I sat down frustrated on the hill behind the house from my youth, which overlooked Sing Sing Correctional Facility, suddenly, something clicked…What about those that come out of prison? Are they facing the same problems or even worse?  At that moment, RIFT SUCCESS was born.

Our mission at RIFT SUCCESS is to create employment and career opportunities for individuals who are finding it difficult to return to the workforce. Our focus is to merge their specific crafts and skills with organizations seeking them. Since our inception date of May 18th, 2010 in New York; we have solidified our position as a premier recruiting firm in the United States and, effective July 18th, 2010 extended internationally into India, Serbia, and Norway.

Your company helps ex-incarcerated individuals to return to the workforce. In what way? What do they ask you to do for them? In June the company joined the NYS Prisoner Justice Conference as part of the NYS Prisoner Justice Network...

 Our team consists of a Recruiting & Employment Division, which pairs up with job seekers of all kinds and trades in order to aid them in finding their right company fit.  And of course, the RIFT SUCCESS “niche,” our 2nd Chance Division, which provides work and career opportunities for those ex-incarcerated individuals that wish to return to the workforce.

The fact remains that recently released, ex-incarcerated individuals need employment once released in order to provide for themselves, their families, and the economy but are finding it difficult to do so.  They’ve come to us and asked us to be their voice in the employment community. At RIFT SUCCESS, we work with employers that wish to provide a second chance to those seeking one without prejudice.
 On June 22nd, 2010, we were invited to join the NYS Prisoner Justice Conference as part of the NYS Prisoner Justice Network. A wonderful collaboration whose goal is to unite all New York State organizations that are actively working on the many diverse prisoner justice issues and have come together to share ideas, information, energy, strategies, hope, and inspiration.  A true step in the right direction for our organization, those involved, and our cause!

The Silence Is Broken uses the creative and performing arts and a sustained media campaign to halt the spread of HIV in communities of color, among black women specifically, to the exclusion of no other group.

Infection rates for black women equal 61% of all new infections amongst women. Black community HIV infection rates are looking more and more like third world countries and we as guardians of the next generations are not talking about it. We create trust, eliminate stigma, create awareness, educate, and we advocate testing through our original programming.

SIB is a media company and an interactive website that streams original programming using the creative and performing arts to inspire and inform. The mostly free programming focuses on excellence and accomplishment, and provides a glimpse into the creative process on a wide variety of topics including art, music, style, money and cuisine. Users can learn about different cultures and lifestyles, while watching and interacting with extraordinary people who reveal their process for achievement.

The Silence Is Broken consists of an interactive website, a song, and concert series. Our first feature length concert in the series is now available.

The SIB Campaign

The Silence Is Broken HIV campaign is designed to create awareness, educate, and raise money to help fight the disease and the stereotypes it falsely creates. HIV and AIDS threatens communities of color more than any other group. We have concentrated our efforts on black women as their infection rates are hovering at 61% of all new infections amongst women. Black community HIV infection rates are looking more and more like third world countries and we as guardians of the next generations are not talking about it.

The Silence Is Broken campaign was introduced by composer and producer Patrick Gandy as a gift to his daughters. He wanted to put something in the world where they could learn about this disease from him through a medium he was familiar with (music) and the message would be reinforced through cultural discourse.

By using the media combined with the creative and performing arts as a mechanism of change, The Silence Is Broken will strengthen its message and its capacity to inform. We are taking a bold stance that The Silence Is Broken Concert Series, with its artists, thinkers, and performers, will lead in the start of a multi-year experiment to halt the spread of HIV.

The Silence Is Broken campaign is designed to consistently and constantly impart its message until eradication. We have interviewed HIV positive women in Los Angeles, New York, Louisiana, Atlanta, and Philadelphia. After finding out their HIV status these women experienced anger, then acceptance, then they begin to live their lives, some empowered for the first time, to be more and to give more.

Though trial and tribulation is a part of living, our goal is to disseminate a message that HIV does not have to be one of the trials, it is preventable. Our message is one of empowerment. This however, does not replace the reality or seriousness that is HIV. While the horizon is seemingly bleak, broadcasting images of extraordinary people creating their extraordinary lives will be examples young people and all people can emulate.

Prison Action Network - A Call To Action

In today's society we face many different struggles and seldom find those that are willing to stand up and make a difference in the lives of others. RIFT SUCCESS and the RIFT SUCCESS 2nd Chance Division have had the privilege to align ourselves with an organization that takes action in these struggles and make a difference in the lives of many. The Prison Action Network has set itself on a course that outlines change by bringing change directly to the leaders which affect it and Team SUCCESS stands proudly beside them in unity to bring change to the New York State prison system.

Judith Brink, Chair for the Coalition For Fair Criminal Justice Policies heads off this wonderful organization and is a very hands on and effective leader. The New York organizations that have joined her in the movement are a diverse and effective group whose involvement is quite extensive. Organizations such as The Sentencing Project, Albany Political Prisoners Support Committee, The Bronx Defenders, All Things Harlem, The Correctional Association of New York, among many others; have joined Judith and the Prison Action Network in order to fight the injustices and reform the existing system.

Shake Things Up! By Jaxi West


Unique - Redefined in N.Y.


There aren’t many individuals who really strike me as 100% unique. But I met one of those individuals today, 10/28/10. And while this very impressive person runs what many would tag as an ‘ordinary corporate business’, the CEO behind this company is anything but ordinary.

In fact, he is outstandingly unique! The stage is his - I have determined he has outdone me in a few areas :) I also think he is the perfect example of what many can do in their world to “Shake Things Up!” So I am honoring him and his business genius in this “Shake Things Up!” Newsletter.

I can almost guarantee after reading this, you will be armed with a serious edge. An edge that will focus on a key aspect to living a vivacious, enriched life, being a mover & shaker, and to having ultimate success in business.

That edge is distinguishment.  Separating yourself from others. Clearly displaying/showing/defining everything about who you are & what you stand for, or what your business is about - apart from everyone around you, in your industry, in the world.

This is not an easy task, as it requires quite a lot of ‘knowing thyself’ and having exceptional confidence to move boldly around with this uniqueness. And it requires enormous creativity both in thought, and in how you get your consistent message of You/Your Business to others. But this man shows it can be done.

So don’t just read this. As you read this, start to seriously challenge yourself by asking: “what could I do to leverage my distinction quickly?”

Really “Shake Things Up!” and aim for tomorrow, or perhaps this week or definitely within this month.

And just keep working on crafting your distinguishing elements in creative ways until it satisfies your perfection level. (Rounding it out, mine was 5 years & still going :)) And don’t forget to stay open-minded to allowing it to expand over time as you advance or mature or as your business grows, and as the years go on in the world.

Junior Sanchez started with his name. Junior stands for something but it’s not like any typical name which has an age old meaning behind it. It stands for what he does in his business. “Jointly Uniting.... (I’ll give him the honors of telling you the rest himself)

This alone is brilliant, and it’s quite powerful! His business is more than just his name, like my personal name and my company name, Jaxi West Companies. He is his business and his business is him. There is really no separation - he lives & breathes it. He believes so much in what he does and what he offers others, he unequivocally puts his name behind it - so far as he built his name around it!

He smokes me in unique ideation here! I would never have thought of this and I am actually a really big creator and user of acronyms - (as you experienced from the 1st “Shake Things Up!” Newsletter) because they are catchy and easy to remember (sans the U.S. Gov’t acronyms). 

His company has 2 websites, one ‘official site’ and then a webs.com site. Not sure which came first or if he will ever drop one, but I decided to take a look at the second one (webs.com) out of curiousity.


“WOW” is what came out of my mouth twice and “‘oh, man, this guy’s genius” once, as I was clicking on the links on the site and the pages were opening.

This CEO did more than just brand his image with a fancy logo or tag line. He went 1000 steps beyond that. He sort of went about it like a musician who launches a music career.

He incorporated music and clothing into building his global image. He took two non traditional venues (as it would be viewed in the ‘corporate world’) and made this a part of his entire branding process.  He should be my Spokesman for “Shake Things Up!”

Now, if I told you what this guy does, you’d be very surprised at how all this creativity came about from a company that really falls under HR. To me, that area is relatively mundane, HR in general.  But, that is my personal perspective and not meant to pass judgement. I’d say the same thing about finance. But, I know HR is absolutely relevant and crucial to many companies, so I am not negating it.

What I am saying is - it would be one thing if this guy’s business was ice cream or bungee jumping, but it’s not. So it really impressed me how creative he got with all this.


Like I stated above - I would tag his business as a ‘necessity of traditional business’. His business is essentially recruitment and placement. Those looking for a job and those who have jobs are the folks he interacts with daily.

So how does music and clothing come into this? Or why would he choose to do this? It’s not like the shirts are going to make him wealthy, and the music isn’t for sale (it’s actually a video).

So, I can only surmise the music and clothing is a way to capture the younger Generations. The other presumption I have -outside him just being brilliantly creative - is he is on a massive mission (you understand this once on the website).

For the industry he is in, and where we are in reality in the job market and economy (Absolute Truth #s: 18% unemployed /30 Million Americans without a job), I would say this is more like a Movement.

Movement’s are often accompanied by clothing, music, etc.- a way to spread your message to others, make it fun, grab attention, etc. But maybe none of this is his reasoning - this is all me just ‘knowledge guessing’. So I will leave it up to you to decide - or just pick up the insight and keep it in mind when you are thinking about that question I suggested earlier: “what can I do to establish or leverage my distinction immediately?”

So here’s where the music comes into play. On his webs.com site, the viewer is informed about his company in a video that has some pretty wild & unique music - but the music is 100% appropriate. I actually thought maybe he asked a band to write the lyrics for his company. That’s how much it meshes.

Another link he had on his webs.com site was ‘shop’ - I immediately clicked on it - thinking ‘what could he really sell?’ I instantly thought it was a book or something that was Infopreneurial (selling his knowledge), but I was wrong.

He sells t-shirts with his company name and different messages and pictures (depending which shirt) that you can purchase. Now at first one might think, who would wear something that is someone else’s business name? But think about it, you do it daily most likely, a Nike shirt, or music band’s shirt, so perhaps he thought: “why not Corporate America’?”

It took me a moment to think about why he would do this in the recruiting field, again, this isn’t like selling the new widget or even a nifty tech product like Apple does. But I then quickly realized he was willing to play a little because he is so confident in his business and himself, he believes his name can be as big as FedEx one day perhaps.

He thought big and he didn’t wait until he got big to do something about it. This was something that I learned very early on in my sales years thankfully: to think BIG and act BIG immediately - that day even - ‘as if’. As if you are Big! And the other golden rule is to always think global, not local. Even if you don’t think you will be - with the internet you now easily can be.

Okay, so up to now I have been painting a pretty mundane picture of his industry - recruiting and placement - again, probably from my own personal opinion on the field. Note: I was in this field for a brief stint when I lived in Southern Virginia, so I feel I can share my opinion openly, because I also fully acknowledge it’s importance.

But Mr. Sanchez didn’t just set up a typical recruiting and placement business. That again would have been too boring for this advanced thinker. He also didn’t declare a speciality on what industry or professional level he would work with, he works with everyone.

But what he did do, was create his niche in another way. He decided to work with prison programs - working with and placing ex-offenders.

He took on one hefty challenge - but it’s most likely because he believes everyone is entitled to 2nd chances. You really don’t get involved in the prison programs unless you are truly dedicated, as there aren’t many who do, so those that say they want to, are heavily counted on to come through and make a difference (no matter what aspect of a prison program you get involved in). So it’s about your word and your reputation.

He is also ideal to be the one to do this type of program. From going through his websites, you learn he believes in every individual and what each person could bring to a company. So, he incorporated his own personal belief right into this company (as I did with my previous company, BLC). This is what I call being Passion Driven, not Profit Driven. He carved a challenging niche - but one that everyone benefits from.

Society as a whole benefits from this fellow’s business and his dedication to fight for the underdog. The ex-prisoner isn’t falling into recidivism traps, and thus society is kept safer (no repeat crime) and he is helping this individual become a productive, contributing individual instead of one who was costing Americans their tax dollars to support him (in the prison).

So the work Junior is doing in his 2nd Chances Division could also be considered part of his corporate social contribution to his community, state, nation and even the world. This is a true win all around. I’d say this entrepreneur has thought of everything.


Junior Sanchez is carving a path and leaving a spectacular trail...one towards success, leadership, creativity, and harnessing the uniqueness of each individual. I’d be keeping my eye on him, and following his footsteps, if I were you.

Remember, year after year it gets harder to stand out from the crowd, both in business -as more enter the workforce & it’s increasing competitiveness, and in life - as population grows over time & everyone is grabbing for everyone’s time or attention. If you aren’t thinking outside the box and stating boldly who you are, you are not doing justice to your own potential or natural gifts.

Be all of who you are, do what you love, do what you are exceptional at, and be humbly bold (there’s a fine art to this) letting others know about the awesomeness of you and what you can do for others!

If you follow this 4 point rule (my rule), you will always be remembered.  Being remembered is the 2nd biggest key to success. The 1st is your own drive and determination.  This CEO has mastered the 1st, and he accomplished the 2nd with me.

Junior Sanchez breaks rules! And that is what I am all about! So of course, I Love it! I hope this man inspires you, as he did with me, and puts some fire under you - to get you to “Shake Things Up!” in your world and craft your distinctions in who you are or what your business is about and share that message with the world!

RIFT SUCCESS CEO Embarks On Monumental Crusade



My Fellow Americans,

I find myself quite concerned about the current state of affairs in our beloved nation.  Our economic plunge has lead us into an immense depression and the unemployment rate continues to escalate day by day to heights we have never seen before.  Knowing how desperate these times are as both an American and as CEO of RIFT SUCCESS, I feel it my duty to do something about this immediately.  Our president states that it will take 300,000 jobs filled just to make a positive impact on the economy.  300,000 jobs to make a dent!  Well, if that is the case then I am more than willing to do my part and feel that I need to up the ante.  RIFT SUCCESS, Jaxi West Companies, and I have officially embarked on a mission.  This mission is to place 360,000 Americans back into the workforce in 360 days!  That’s 360,000 jobs in 360 days!  This may be a monumental task, but I know that it will surely change the face of history and the course of our current situation.  Am I crazy?  Perhaps, but as an American, I cannot stand idle and watch without action as this continues to worsen.  Our team will utilize all our resources and find employment for as many people as we can throughout the United States.

RIFT SUCCESS & Jaxi West Companies – A Partnership For SUCCESS

From April 2007 - December 2009, the business was called Building Lucrative Connections ~BLC. The company closely tied into the owner's beliefs and values and had been structured around that system.

In January 2010, Jaxi restructured her business model and in April 2010, 'officially' relaunched with her new personal name, Jaxi West. For over 20 years, Jaxi West has been working in a variety of industries holding different, advancing positions across the United States. Her experience became global when she started her own business in April 2007, when she was working privy investment projects in emerging and developed nations, such as Africa, Central America, UK, Mexico, Europe, etc.

Jaxi's Experience
Jaxi has been involved in the investigation (and legal) industry since the late '80s, and has moved throughout the segments - private, covert, public, government, civil and criminal - over her combined 17 years experience in this field.

Jaxi also has close to 25 years experience in the business environment. The predominance of Jaxi's experience is in administration, sales, marketing and management with small and medium size companies, a handful which were start-ups.

A valuable lifetime business experience, although non-positioned, was the insightful learning gained from years of sharing and questions with her grandfather about his company - a company he started from scratch with very little, and built into a multi-million dollar business, a leader in his industry.

It is through all this experience coupled with building and cultivating a vetted, elite global network over the years, that inspired and leveraged Jaxi to build and grow three companies and now her fourth: Jaxi West Companies, LLC.
